Vande Bharat from Delhi to Ayodhya: New high-speed train to cover the distance in just 8 hours – More details inside

In a major development, Indian Railways is planning to extend its operation between Gorakhpur and Lucknow to Prayagraj even as preparations are going on to launch another Vande Bharat train, which will operate between Anand Vihar, Lucknow, and Ayodhya, as per the media reports.

As per the sources, 16 rakes have been allotted to Northern Railway from the Rail Coach Factory. According to a senior officer of the Railway Board, Vande Bharat Express will cover the distance from Anand Vihar to Lucknow in eight hours.“The Railway Board is preparing the timetable of Anand Vihar-Ayodhya Vande Bharat Express. It is expected that the order for the date of its operation will also come very soon,” Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Senior DCM) of Northern Railway Lucknow Division, Rekha Sharma was quoted as saying to the media.With a maximum speed of 160 Kmph, India’s first indigenous semi-high-speed train, Vande Bharat Express is equipped with state-of-art facilities like GPS-based audio-visual passenger information system, onboard hotspot Wi-Fi for entertainment purposes, along with Divyang-friendly facilities.Meanwhile, to bolster Ayodhya’s train network, Indian Railways will introduce a mega plan, which includes Vande Bharat trains from prime cities, and connect them with Ayodhya. The move will provide a smooth travel experience for pilgrims who wish to travel to the holy city in the future, where the Ram temple is slated to be opened.

Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to base their work on the eight concepts for the revival of Ayodhya’s grandeur. The government is rapidly advancing the work of bringing Saketpuri, situated on Lord Vishnu’s wheel, to the surface in the forms of Sanskritik (cultural) Ayodhya, Saksham (capable) Ayodhya, Adhunik (modern) Ayodhya, Sugmay (accessible) Ayodhya, Surmay (beautiful) Ayodhya, Bhawatmak (emotional) Ayodhya, Swacch (clean) Ayodhya, and Ayushman (healthy) Ayodhya.

Notably, the UP government is also working on an action plan to develop a Tourism Facilitation Centre in Ayodhya. It is estimated to be built in an area spanning 4.40 acres at an estimated cost of Rs 130 crore.These centres will be developed at a predetermined place, ensuring connectivity with National Highway 330 and National Highway 27.
